Photos of the week.

Two pictures I took at WIRED's NextFest in Chicago.

This first image is of the Cell Phone disco.  The LEDs are wired to a sensor that detects electro magnetic fields caused by cellular activity.  When your phone goes off, the lights pop up in seemingly random patterns across the grid.  You can hold your phone up to it and centralize the lights, drawing out your own patterns.  It serves no real purpose what so ever, but it's a ton of fun.

This next one is BrainBall.  I love this game.  The ball moves by magnetic force, the electro magnets on either side are linked to the headband which senses how much brain activity the player has.  Basically, who ever can calm themselves the most, which ever player can reduce his/her brainwave activity, wins.  So, just breathe, clear your mind.  Oh look, the ball's on the other side of the court.  I didn't get to try it, but it looks fun.  Can't you see having one of those at your next party?
