Richard III was crowned. The Treaty of Edinburgh was signed. Bohemia was granted freedom of religion. The first Republican Party convention was held. The dollar was chosen as the monetary unit for the USA. Louis Pasteur successfully tests his rabies vaccine. The Bayonette Constitution of Hawaii was signed at gunpoint, giving the US more power over the land than the natives. Robert Peary set sail on his (later) successful arctic expedition. Lawrence of Arabia captured Aqaba. Anne Frank went into hiding. The Hartford Circus fire. John Lennon and Paul McCartney meet for the first time in a pub in Liverpool. "A Prairie Home Companion" aired it's first live broadcast. Matt Cooper agreed to testify to a grand jury that Karl Rove leaked Valerie Plame's CIA identity. The Nathula Pass between India and China has reopened TODAY for the first time in 44 years.


King Henry II, King Edward VI, Tsar Peter III, Chief Justice John Marshall, Georg Ohm, William Faulkner, Louis Armstrong, Roy Rogers, John Frankenheimer, all died.


The Dalai Llama, George W Bush, Della Reese, Janet Leigh, Sylvester Stallone, Geoffrey Rush, Merv Griffin, Nancy Reagan, Tsar Nicholas I, Frida Kahlo, Ned Beatty, 50 Cent, and I were born. That's right, it's my BIRFFDAY!
