Beerhoptacular

This year, I had the privilege of shooting Beerhoptacular, an amazing festival of craft brewing here in Chicago.  I met some of the brightest and most talented brewers from around the country and tasted some incredible beers over the 2 days of the event.

Before the event, Brian Ferber of Culture-Content and I interviewed the folks at Revolution Brewing about the upcoming festival and craft brewing.

Beerhoptacular was an amazing success at it's new venue, the Riverfront Theater, on Chicago Avenue.

This amazing event was thrown together by Jam Productions,  who I look forward to working with again.

The unfortunate story out of this exciting time was that shortly after capturing this event, all of my photo gear, lenses, microphones, computer and backup drive were stolen.  It was a total shock and I'm still hopeful about recovering the gear.  What transpired over the past month was truly humbling and amazing.  An outpour of support and donations came to me and my family from friends and strangers, alike, around the country.

I cannot extend enough thanks to those who shared this story and donated and helped out in so many ways.  I am truly a blessed and lucky person to have such amazing and wonderful people in my life and continue to be awestruck at the kindness and generosity granted to us.

Emilio & Elena

Emilio & Elena had one of the coolest and most fun-filled weddings I've ever had the privilege to capture.  This fun, young and talented couple have such a creative and joyous group of friends and family to support them and share their joy.  Carnivale was the absolute perfect place for them celebrate.

Travis & DJ

Travis and DJ

Travis & DJ were made for each other.  They had such an amazing wedding last month.  The best part was a tour of some fun and sentimental places around the city before the ceremony.  Click on the picture for a few choice shots from the day.

Austrian Wine

Last night was a fantastic time shooting for the Austrian Wine council at Event One on Randolph.  The event was a tasting of some of the best wines Austria has to offer and was accented by fine Austrian cheeses and meats as well as some treats from some of Chicago's finest dining establishments.  Click the photo to see the whole gallery.

I'm tremendously excited to announce the launch of gopho films.  Our first film is a documentary feature entitled Face to Facebook.  This is about a woman with agoraphobia and anxiety who has challenged herself (by way of a New Years resolution) to meet all of her Facebook friends within the year.  As of December 31st she had 325 friends and 11 more were added to the list on the 1st.  She has 365 days to do this and the kicker is that she must travel all over the world to meet them.  She must face her worst fears and conquer her anxiety to do this.

Face to Facebook will be an inspiring and incredible journey and I'm so excited to be a part of it.  View the trailer on our website www.f2fb.net and spread the word.   We are counting on the support of our friends and their friends to get the word out and make this film possible.  We have the project up on Kickstarter.  Any and every donation makes a huge difference.

Here's a link to a recent article in the Chicago Tribune about ArLynn's resolution and the film.
